I have not posted for a while but I am now working on testing a small affordable under $1000.00 back up solar emergency power back up system. I am testing 50 watt panels and soon will upgrade to 100 watts at 5 amps. I am using a gel cell 100 amp hunker battery which should last forever almost. I have a small solar charger and I am feeding it with 12 gauge wire into my house. I will attach it to a 900 watt inverter which should easily drive lights or a fan or a radio or a small tv. I will keep you posted.
