I added a new blog post on rossini.com about growing your on line business:http://ping.fm/DP58f
I posted two new entries in my solar blog http://ping.fm/gZpYR

My LED light

After getting a $425 shocking energy bill in the mail I have really been Joe the light turner offer in my house. It is my protest and that is to try to save on my energy usage. One thing that happens in my house is that sometime a light (more of a night light) is left on for hours everyday in our master bedroom so I put plan B in effect, I turned on my back up emergency LED light on in the room and turned off the night lamp.

I sell a solar back up light kit that charges a 7 amp hour battery and it really works. The light is now staying on for several hours every night. The LED lighting easily lights most of the room and I now have it in two rooms and will put one in a third before the bad storm season arrives.

My goal is to put back up LED lighting in every room if possible so when the power goes off, my lights go on.

When the sun angle shifts

One thing that I can tell you is that I know now why those little rovers on Mars are so dependent on the sun angle and time of year for their power. Here at my homestead, I could really tell the power decrease during the winter months. Now as the sun angle is changing my solar panels are picking up steam and the volts are juicing. I am now getting more and more power and charging out of my panels.

Some of my plans are to gang several panels together to get more umffff. I will keep you posted.

Facebook use by small business is up so says this article. What they did not say is "has it worked"!
MerchantCircle, an online network of US local business owners, revealed in its quarterly reports that more local businesses are turning to Facebook and other social networking sites like Twitter, as a low-cost option for their marketing efforts.

The survey, conducted with 8,500 random small and local business owners across the U.S, revealed that 70% of these business owners are actively marketing their business through Facebook. This represents a 20% increase over 2010.

Most small businesses running on limited budgets (less than $2,500 annually) and 60% of survey respondents do no plan to raise their budget this year. This makes Facebook an attractive and cost-effective marketing tool for most local business owners.
